A multi-million pound mansion has come on the market in Merseyside, on one of the most “exclusive” roads in the North West.

The five bedroom detached house was completed in 2014 and includes plenty of modern and luxury features, including solar panels, skylights and new appliances. The street regularly features on the Land Registry as having the most expensive property sales. It also draws in famous buyers, thanks to the amount of “outstanding” homes on the road that feature pools, cinema rooms and modern luxuries.

Celebrities who have previously lived near the hot spot include Jurgen Klopp, Wayne Rooney, John Parrott and Brendan Rodgers. As well as being home to plenty of beautiful properties, Shireburn Road itself is also described as being a secluded and tree-lined road.

It benefits from being just a stone’s throw away from National Trust sites with Formby beach and the Squirrel Reserve. It’s also close to Formby Village and a short drive to Birkdale Village, with handy transport links available.

According to Rightmove, properties in Formby had an overall average price of £366,705 over the last year. Most of the sales in Formby during the last year were semi-detached properties, selling for an average price of £300,458.

Detached properties sold for an average of £548,078, with flats fetching £171,320. Overall, sold prices in Formby over the last year were 3% up on the previous year and 13% up on the 2019 peak of £323,822.

Images and floorplans of the property show that it’s spread over 5,000 sq ft and over two floors. Estate agents Savills describe the home as being “flexible” with potential to build on the home to the first floor and planning reference already in place.

A double garage also provides further space for transformation, though the home already comes with a large utility, cinema room and gym. One the ground floor, an entrance hall leads to a dining room that ajoins the kitchen and breakfast room.

This area of the house overlooks the garden, which has been landscaped to include a seamless outdoor entertainment space. Off the kitchen there is also to a utility room and a cloakroom.
