M3GAN dances to Chappell Roan in new ‘M3GAN 2.0’ trailer
Killer robot M3GAN dances to Chappell Roan in the first trailer for horror sequel M3GAN 2.0.
In the 44 second clip, posted on X (formerly Twitter) this morning (February 3), the AI doll walks in silhouette towards the camera before performing her dance from the first film, this time to Roan’s song ‘Femininomenon’.
During the dance, the titles reveal the release date of the highly-anticipated sequel, saying: “On June 27 his bitch is back”. A spotlight them reveals M3GAN, who says “Miss me?” to the camera before winking.
The film’s director, Gerard Johnstone, has returned for the sequel, with star Violet McGraw coming back as Cady alongside Allison Williams as Gemma, her aunt and M3GAN’s inventor. Amie Donald will once again be playing the title character physically, with Jenna Davis also returning as the demonic doll’s voice.

M3GAN was one of the breakout hits of 2023, telling the story of an AI doll who becomes a companion and protector of a young girl named Cady. Eventually, M3GAN becomes overly protective of Cady, deciding that anyone that comes between them should be met with violence.
The character was a huge hit on TikTok, with users replicating a scene where M3GAN dances that became popular when it was shown as part of the film’s trailer. In NME’s four-star review for the film, critic Nick Levin wrote that the film “has clearly been crafted with a future franchise in mind, but it’s hard to be mad it when the character has such potential”.
After M3GAN 2.0’s June release, an erotic thriller spin-off, titled SOULM8TE, is scheduled for release in 2026. Last year, it was revealed that fans of the film could buy a life-size replica figure of M3GAN.
