Jeff Lynne’s ELO BST Hyde Park 2025 support acts announced

Jeff Lynne of ELO performs live

The support acts have been confirmed for Jeff Lynne’s ELO headline set at BST Hyde Park. Find out the details below.

The group were announced as one of the headliners for the London summer series last October, and confirmed to be bringing their ongoing farewell tour over to the UK.

It comes as Lynne and co. headlined at Hyde Park back in 2014, in a set that marked their first festival performance in 30 years. Their upcoming 2025 show is set to take place at the Great Oak Stage on Sunday July 13.

Now, the three acts that will be joining the rock group at the event have been confirmed: The Doobie Brothers, Steve Winwood and Dhani Harrison.

With their support set, The Doobie Brothers are set to bring classic tracks like ‘Takin’ It to the Streets’, ‘What a Fool Believes’, ‘Listen to the Music’, and ‘China Grove’ to the Hyde Park Stage. The performance also comes ahead of them being inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame later this year – having already been inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2020 and the Vocal Group Hall of Fame in 2004.

It is also expected to see them play some tracks from their upcoming album ‘Walk This Road’, which is set to arrive in June.

For Steve Winwood, the set comes following the singer, songwriter, guitarist, keyboardist and producer bursting onto the scene in 1963 and releasing fan-favourites like ‘Gimme Some Lovin’’, ‘Back In The High Life Again’, ‘Can’t Find My Way Home’ over his 50-year career.

The musician played at the Golden Jubilee commemoration of Queen Elizabeth II at Buckingham Palace in 2002, and is expected to break out songs from his time with bands like Spencer Davis Group, Traffic, and Blind Faith – the latter of which he founded with Eric Clapton and Ginger Baker.

Finally, the third artist joining ELO on the night is multi-Grammy Award-winning musician and composer, Dhani Harrison. His performance follows the release of his debut album ‘IN///PARALLEL’ in 2017, which he followed up in 2023 with his sophomore release ‘INNERSTANDING’.

The latter included collaborations with the likes of Blur’s Graham Coxon, Mereki and The Duke Spirit’s Liela Moss.

As for Jeff Lynne and co., the upcoming Hyde Park show follows on from the band’s ‘Over And Out’ tour in the US, serving as a final “goodbye” to their fans.

“My return to touring began at Hyde Park in 2014. It seems like the perfect place to do our final show,” the frontman said. “We couldn’t be more excited to share this special night in London with our UK fans. As the song goes, ‘We’re gonna do it One More Time!’”
