After a cold but dry start, Merseyside is set to be hit with blustery rain today.
The clear skies won’t last very long and soon a band of heavy rain will move in from the South-West. Rain is set to start mid morning and continue into the evening.
Forecasters say that the rain will become lighter and more scattered into the night. However it will be much colder with minimum temperatures of -1C with patchy fog developing.
The Met Office reports that into Tuesday there will be mist and fog possible in places. It will become brighter with sunny spells for most, particularly during the afternoon.
The BBC weather outlook for Wednesday to Friday, reads: “Wednesday morning will see a band of heavy rain move in from the south-west. Rain will clear in the afternoon to leave sunny spells and blustery showers.
“Thursday will start brightly but a spell of rain will soon move in from the west. Rain will clear later in the afternoon to leave scattered showers. A windy day. Friday will have a mixture of sunny spells and showers.”
