‘Elden Ring’ players are selling early access to ‘Nightreign’ for £350 on eBay
Elden Ring players are selling early access to Nightreign for up to £350 on eBay – even though it goes against the rules.
Elden Ring: Nightreign is a multiplayer spin-off that sees groups of three players battling to survive a long-weekend in the dangerous world of Elden Ring.
The full game is due for release at some point this year, but developers have announced details of an early access network test that will give players access to a “portion of the game” prior to launch. “This large -scale network stress test is designed to various aspects of the online system’s functionality and performance,” added developers. The tests will take place between February 14 and February 17.

Access to the network test is free, though players had to be selected at random after applying online. Codes haven’t been released yet but players have been notified if they’ve been successful in gaining access. And some of those fans have taken to eBay to sell their entry.
There are currently five different listings promising access to the Nightreign beta test, with the most expensive at £350. There are loads more on North America’s eBay platform as well.
However, developers have said that selling access to the Network Test goes against their rules. “It is prohibited to transfer, purchase, sell or lend the Network Test software or access to others. If discovered, the winning entrant’s eligibility will be voided,” reads the information page. EBay doesn’t have a firm rule on selling access to video games but does say it “encourages all ticket sellers to follow the guidelines and laws for ticket sales.”

Elden Ring: Nightreign was announced in December and will “offer players a new gaming experience by reimagining Elden Ring’s core design.”
“I created Nightreign to be a new thrilling type of gameplay with that familiar sense of accomplishment and overcoming tough odds that players are familiar with,” game director Junya Ishizaki continued, with Elden Ring: Nightreign taking influence from “a whole range of titles and genres”.
