The Buffalo Bills had to leave Western New York to host the Cleveland Browns in Week 11.
Buffalo will be calling Ford Field home on Sunday and return on Thursday for a Thanksgiving Day game against the Detroit Lions. The Bills will look to bounce back from a two game losing streak later today against the Browns, but the team will be without a few key players.
Starting linebacker Tremaine Edmunds was ruled out on Friday due to a groin and heel injury. Tyrel Dodson is expected to start in Edmunds’ place. Defensive end Greg Rousseau will miss today’s matchup as well due to a high ankle sprain.
Tre’Davious White was also announced as being out as he works his way back from a torn ACL that he suffered last year on Thanksgiving Day.
In addition to Edmunds, Rousseau and White, the Bills announced the following players as being inactive.
CB Kaiir Elam
G Justin Murray
LB A.J. Klein
TE Tommy Sweeney
Elam is the only moderate surprise on the list. The cornerback was listed as questionable for today’s game due to an ankle injury, but had practiced in full on Thursday and was projected as a full participant for Friday, but the team did not hold practice due to the weather.
Klein was recently claimed by the Bills. Although he has played with Buffalo in the past, the Bills probably need more time to get the veteran up to speed.
The good news for Buffalo is that safety Jordan Poyer is active. The Bills are 5-0 when Poyer plays this season.
